October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - a cancer which is the most common in the UK.
So in order to raise vital funds for research and to help beat this disease, Skechers will be donating month to Breast Cancer Now for every pair of its shoes you purchase.
Here’s a little message from the charity:
“We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future.
“We’ve been extremely proud to have Skechers partnered by our side since 2017 and in that time, we have raised an incredible £460,000 together to help fund life-changing care and world-class research giving support and hope to everyone affected by breast cancer.
“This October we want you to get involved again and help our partnership reach £500,000 together so that we can be there for everyone affected by breast cancer.
“How? Well, we know that our work life is looking very different this year. However, there are still lots of great ways to fundraise whilst working from home or in a socially distance workspace and on Friday 23 October, we want you all to Wear it pink!
“Bring colleagues together virtually to wear pink, raise money and help make breast cancer research and care happen. For more details download our fundraising guide and online materials – and don’t be afraid to get creative we’ve got a lot of other ideas in there to liven up your next call or meeting!
“So get involved, get your colleagues, friends and family to donate and dress up in pink for Breast Cancer Now.
“If you’re also looking for more information about breast cancer, this is an exclusive opportunity to hear from one of Breast Cancer Now’s Public Health and Nursing teams.
“We will be taking you through the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, how to Touch, Look, Check and will be dispelling common myths.
“There will also be the chance at one of the webinars to meet and hear from one of Breast Cancer Now’s supporters, who will be sharing their experience of breast cancer, and an opportunity at the end to ask any questions you may have.”
